Attack on Pearl Harbor

On a quiet morning in Hawaii, something very sad happened at a place called Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor is a special spot where big ships stay safe. It belongs to the United States, a country with many friendly people.

This sad event took place on December 7, 1941. It was a time when the world was going through a difficult moment called World War II. Many countries were not getting along, and some were having trouble talking and solving problems.

The people of Japan planned a surprise visit to Pearl Harbor. They wanted to stop the United States from helping other countries. This surprise visit made the United States very upset, and the next day, the President of the United States gave a speech to ask for help from everyone. After this, the United States joined the effort to help bring peace to the world.

Today, there is a special place called the Pearl Harbor Memorial where people can visit to remember those who were there and to learn about staying friends and solving problems without fighting.

Pearl Harbor is also a beautiful place in Oahu, one of the Hawaiian islands. It is known for its calm waters and important history. Many people visit to see the memorial and learn about how important it is to work together and keep peace.
