Ba–Shu Culture

Ba–Shu culture is a special way of life from Sichuan province and Chongqing city. It also includes parts of Yunnan, Guizhou, and southwestern Shaanxi. This culture grew up near the Yangtze River.

People in Ba–Shu made beautiful things, like bronze statues and masks. One famous symbol is the Golden Sun Bird, found at the Jinsha site. It shows how creative they were.

Today, Ba–Shu culture is famous for its cuisine. People love spicy food there. Some popular dishes are Mapo tofu, Bon bon chicken, and Tea-smoked duck. The people also enjoy a special tea called Mengding Ganlu tea.

Ba–Shu culture has a rich history. Old discoveries at Sanxingdui and Jinsha show that this culture is very old, more than three thousand years. It is important to understand how ancient cultures began.
