Welcome to Belgrade!

Belgrade is the capital city of Serbia. It is a very old city where two rivers, the Sava and the Danube, meet. This makes Belgrade a special and important place in Europe.

A City With a Long History

Belgrade has been lived in for thousands of years! People from many different cultures have called it home, including the Vinča culture, Romans, and many others. Today, it is the largest city in Serbia and has many important buildings and schools, like the University Clinical Centre of Serbia.

Things to See and Do

Belgrade has many exciting places to visit. You can see beautiful buildings like the tall Church of Saint Sava and the big Belgrade Arena. The city has hosted fun events like the Eurovision Song Contest. Soon, it will host a big world exhibition called Expo 2027!

Life in Belgrade

Many people live in Belgrade, and it is a busy city with lots of work, schools, and fun places. It has parks, museums, and theaters. The city is known for its music, art, and tasty food. You can enjoy traditional Serbian meals in places like Skadarlija.

Getting Around

Belgrade has many ways to travel around the city. You can ride buses, trams, or the special train called BG Voz. The city is also connected to other places by trains and highways. The airport, Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, makes it easy to fly in and out of the city.

Belgrade is a wonderful place with a rich history and lots of fun things to explore!
