The Book of Revelation

The Book of Revelation is the last book of the New Testament. It is also called the Book of the Apocalypse or the Apocalypse of John. Its name comes from the first word, which means “revelation” or “unveiling.”

The book is special because it has many visions and messages. It was written by a man named John. He was on the island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea when he wrote it. John sent messages to seven churches. He shared words from Jesus Christ and described amazing visions.

People study the Book of Revelation because it has rich pictures and symbols. It helps many think about important ideas. Scholars look at its symbolism to learn more about early Christians and their stories.
