Who Was Constantinos Apostolou Doxiadis?

Constantinos Apostolou Doxiadis was a talented architect from Greece. He was born on May 14, 1913, and passed away on June 28, 1975.

Designing Cities

Doxiadis loved to design and plan cities. One of his most famous projects was creating the design for Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. His ideas helped make cities better places to live.

The Father of Ekistics

Doxiadis is also known as the “father of ekistics.” Ekistics is the study of how people live together in towns and cities. He wrote many books about his ideas and shared them with people all over the world.
