Dexter King
Dexter King was a kind and caring person who worked to help people and animals. He was born on January 30, 1961, in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents were Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, who were famous for fighting for fairness and kindness for everyone.
Dexter grew up learning about his parents' important work. He had three siblings: Martin Luther King III, Bernice King, and Yolanda King. Together, they carried on their family’s tradition of helping others. Dexter also loved animals and spoke up for their rights.
Dexter wrote a book called Growing Up King: An Intimate Memoir where he shared stories from his childhood. He lived in both Atlanta, Georgia and Malibu, California. Dexter passed away from illness in 2024, but his work continues to inspire many people who want to make the world a better place.
