Domitian

Domitian was a Roman emperor from the year 81 to the year 96. He was the last emperor in the Flavian dynasty and the younger brother of two other emperors, Titus and Vespasian. After his brother Titus passed away, Domitian became the new emperor.

Domitian was born in Rome on October 24, 51. His family became very important during a time when older families in Rome were losing power. He grew up learning to speak well and loved studying famous stories and poems. Even as a boy, Domitian was known for being good with a bow and arrow.

When Domitian became emperor, he worked hard to help Rome. He made many building projects and helped the economy. His soldiers worked in places like Britain and Dacia. Even though some people thought he was too strict, many liked him and thought he helped bring peace to the Roman Empire.

After Domitian passed away in the year 96, another leader named Nerva became the new emperor. Today, people remember Domitian as a strong leader who helped keep Rome safe and strong.
