The Flag of Nepal

The flag of Nepal is very special because it is the only flag in the world that is not a rectangle. It has a unique shape that looks like two small flags joined together. The colors are red, white, and blue.

The red part of the flag stands for bravery, and the blue border stands for peace. Inside the red areas, there are symbols of the sun and the moon. Many people think the sun stands for hard work, and the moon stands for calm.

The flag was made in 1962 by a man named Shankar Nath Rimal, who worked for King Mahendra. The design comes from old flags used in Nepal a long time ago.

Because the flag is not a rectangle, it can be hard to use at big events. But Nepal is allowed to keep its special shape, even in places like the Olympic Games.
