Frank-Walter Steinmeier
Frank-Walter Steinmeier is a kind and important leader from Germany. He has been the President of Germany since 2017. He belongs to the Social Democratic Party of Germany, which helps guide the country.
Frank-Walter was born in 1956 in Detmold. His friends call him Frank. His father was a carpenter, and his mother was from a place now in Poland. After school, he joined the German Air Force for a short time and then studied law. He later worked with a professor and earned a special degree called a doctorate.
Frank-Walter is married to Elke Büdenbender, and they have one daughter. He enjoys listening to jazz and watching football. He is also a Protestant and is active in his church in Neukölln.
Before becoming president, Frank-Walter held many important jobs. He was Minister for Foreign Affairs and helped Germany work with other countries. He also served as Vice-Chancellor of Germany. In 2022, he was re-elected for a second term as president.
Frank-Walter works to bring people together and supports peaceful changes. He has helped Germany’s welfare system and continues to guide the country with care.
