Global Health

Global health is about keeping everyone in the world healthy. It helps make sure that people, no matter where they live, have a fair chance to be healthy. People work together to solve health problems that affect many countries.

The World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, is a big group that helps countries stay healthy. They work with other groups like UNICEF and the World Food Programme to make life better for everyone.

Global health looks at many kinds of health issues. For example, medicine studies diseases and how to treat them. Public health works on keeping groups of people healthy. Other subjects like economics help find the best ways to use money for health.

After World War II, countries started working together more for health. In 1948, they created the World Health Organization. In 2000, leaders set goals to improve life for everyone. These goals helped start many health programs, like groups to fight diseases such as AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.

People all over the world work together to keep everyone healthy. This includes groups like the United Nations, the World Bank Group, and many other organizations. They focus on stopping diseases, helping people stay healthy, and making sure everyone can get medical care when they need it.

Climate change and health problems like antimicrobial resistance also affect health everywhere. Hot weather and dirty air can cause health issues. These challenges need all countries to work together to keep people safe and healthy.
