Henley-on-Thames
Henley-on-Thames is a lovely town next to the River Thames in England. It is close to three special places: Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Buckinghamshire. The town is a nice spot for families and visitors.
Henley has a long history. People have lived there since Roman times. The town grew with markets and fairs. Today, you can see old buildings and bridges that tell stories of the past.
One of the most famous events in Henley is the Henley Royal Regatta. Every summer, people come to watch rowing races on the river. It became "Royal" when a prince helped it long ago. There are many rowing clubs in Henley where kids and grown-ups can learn to row.
Henley also has good schools for children. There are primary schools like Badgemore Primary School and secondary schools like Gillotts School. Some children go to special schools like Shiplake College.
The town has many places to explore. Henley Bridge is a beautiful bridge with five arches. You can also visit the old town hall or see the special shape of Chantry House. Henley is a wonderful place to visit and learn about history!
