Welcome to Hesperia, California

Hesperia is a friendly city in San Bernardino County, California. It is about 35 miles north of downtown San Bernardino, in a place called Victor Valley. The city is surrounded by the big and beautiful Mojave Desert.

A Special Place

Hesperia sits a little higher up than the desert around it. This gives the city a special kind of weather called the High Desert. The name Hesperia means “western land,” which fits because it is in the western part of the country. Today, over 99,000 people call Hesperia home.

Fun Things to Do

Hesperia has many places to play and have fun. Hesperia Lake Park is a lovely spot where families can go camping, fishing, or enjoy sports. There is also a special park for flying model airplanes, which is very popular with kids who love airplanes. The city has a golf course too, where people can play and enjoy the outdoors.

Good Jobs and Schools

Many people in Hesperia work for the schools or shops in the area. The Hesperia Unified School District is one of the biggest employers. The city has three high schools and many elementary schools, giving children a great place to learn and grow.

Hesperia is a wonderful place to live, with lots of space to explore and many friendly faces to meet.
