The House of Bourbon is a famous royal family from France. They began their story in the 1500s and were part of a larger group called the Capetian dynasty. This family has a long and interesting history.

The Bourbons started in a place called Bourbon, which is now part of France. They became very important nobles. In 1589, one of them, Henry IV, became the king of France. His descendants ruled until big changes happened in the country.

Some members of the Bourbon family also ruled in other places. Today, the Bourbon family still has kings and queens in Spain and Luxembourg. This shows how their influence spread across Europe over many years.

The Bourbons are known for their role in European history. They helped shape the way countries were led and governed. Even though they don't rule France anymore, their story continues to be remembered and studied.
