The Yellow Sea Snake
The yellow sea snake, also called Hydrophis spiralis, is a special kind of sea snake. It lives in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. This snake is bright yellow, which makes it easy to see as it swims.
Unlike land snakes, yellow sea snakes live their whole lives in the ocean. They can swim far and even have babies underwater. These snakes help keep the ocean healthy by keeping the numbers of small fish balanced.
People know about the yellow sea snake because scientists study its venom. Even though the venom is strong, it helps the snake catch food and stay safe. Scientists learn from this venom to make new medicines for humans. This teaches us how amazing ocean animals can be and why we should protect them.
