The Kaaba
The Kaaba is a special stone building in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is the most important place for Muslims all around the world. The Kaaba is shaped like a cube, which is why it is called "the Cube" in Arabic.
The Kaaba is at the center of the Masjid al-Haram, the largest mosque in the world. Muslims face the Kaaba when they pray, no matter where they are. This direction is called the qibla.
When Muslims visit Mecca, they walk around the Kaaba seven times in a special way called Tawaf. This happens during two big trips called Hajj and Umrah. It is a way to show respect and unity.
The Kaaba has a special black stone on one corner. This stone is very important to many Muslims. The building is covered with a beautiful black cloth that has gold writing from the Quran. This cloth is changed every year.
Inside the Kaaba, there are marble stones with beautiful writing. These stones tell stories about leaders who helped care for the Kaaba and the mosque. The Kaaba has a rich history and is a place of great meaning for Muslims everywhere.
