Kerala

Kerala is a beautiful state on the Malabar Coast of southern India. It is famous for its green hills, calm water areas called backwaters, and lovely beaches. People from all over the world visit Kerala to relax and enjoy nature.

Kerala is bordered by Karnataka to the north and Tamil Nadu to the east. The Laccadive Sea lies to the west. The capital city is Thiruvananthapuram.

For thousands of years, Kerala has been known for its spices. Traders from faraway lands visited its shores to buy valuable spices like black pepper. Today, Kerala is still famous for growing crops such as coconut, tea, and coffee. Many people also work in fishing along its long coastline.

Kerala is a special place because of its high standard of living. People there have good schools, hospitals, and a strong sense of community. The state is also known for its rich culture, with many festivals, dances, and traditional foods. One big festival is Onam, where people celebrate with games, music, and beautiful flower designs called pookkalam.

Visiting Kerala means enjoying its natural beauty. You can explore quiet backwaters, visit beautiful beaches, or hike in green hill stations. The state’s calm atmosphere and friendly people make it a wonderful place to spend time.
