King's College Chapel
King's College Chapel is a beautiful and famous building in Cambridge. It is part of King's College in the University of Cambridge. People all over the world know about this chapel because of its special design and lovely windows.
The chapel was built a very long time ago, starting in 1446 and finishing in 1515. It has a special roof called a fan vault, which is the biggest one in the world! The walls of the chapel have big, colorful stained glass windows that shine with light.
Inside the chapel, there is a special wooden screen called a rood screen. It was made between 1532 and 1536 and has a style that looks like early Renaissance art. Today, the chapel is still used for special events and worship. One of the most famous things is the King's College Choir, which sings there almost every day.
Every year, many people enjoy listening to the choir sing, especially during a special Christmas service. The chapel is a proud symbol of Cambridge and is loved by visitors and students alike.
