Kingston, Jamaica
Kingston is the capital city of Jamaica. It is the largest city on the island and sits on the southeastern coast. You can find it near beautiful Kingston Harbour, one of the biggest natural harbours in the world.
The city has two main parts: Downtown and New Kingston. Both areas are served by Norman Manley International Airport for travel. Kingston is a busy place with many neighborhoods, like Tivoli Gardens and National Heroes Park.
Kingston is very important for Jamaica. Many jobs, schools, and hospitals are here. It is also a place where people love sports. You can watch cricket games at Sabina Park and many football teams play here.
The city has many lovely parks. Emancipation Park has a tall bronze sculpture showing two figures looking up, symbolizing freedom. Hope Gardens is a big garden with many interesting plants and trees from around the world.
Kingston has sister cities all around the world, including Miami-Dade County in the United States and Coventry in England. These friendships help bring people and cultures together.
