A City in the Mountains

Rich History
La Paz was started in 1548 by people from Spain. They named it “Our Lady of Peace” to celebrate calm after some troubles. Over time, La Paz became very important. Today, it is where the Bolivian government works, including a big palace called the Palacio Quemado.
