Lighting
Adapted from Wikipedia · Explorer experience
Lighting is the art of using light to make spaces bright and beautiful. It can be natural, like sunlight, or man-made, like lamps and fixtures.
People have used light for thousands of years. Early humans made fires to see at night. They used oil lamps made from rocks and shells. Over time, they learned to make better lights, like candles and chandeliers.
Today, we have many kinds of lights. Homes often have ceiling lights and table lamps. Gardens and streets use outdoor lighting to be safe and pretty. Lights can change how things look and make us feel happy.
Lighting helps us do things, like reading or cooking. It can highlight art or make a room feel warm. Proper lighting makes our world brighter and more enjoyable.
Lighting also helps save energy. Using natural sunlight in buildings, called daylighting, uses less power. Energy-saving lights, like LEDs, last longer and use less electricity.
Lights are important everywhere—from homes to parks, schools, and offices. They show us the way and make our lives easier and more pleasant.
