Who Was Louis-Guillaume Otto?

Louis-Guillaume Otto was a friendly diplomat who helped countries talk and work together. He was born on August 7, 1754, and came from a place where Germany and France meet.

His Work

Otto studied many languages and Law at the University of Strasbourg. He worked in many important places like Bavaria, the United States, Berlin, and London. He even helped arrange a special marriage for Napoleon!

Remembering Him

People still learn about Otto’s work today. He passed away on November 9, 1817, but his friendly ways made diplomacy better for everyone. He is buried at the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise in Paris.
