Loyola Greyhounds

The Loyola Greyhounds are the sports teams for Loyola University Maryland. They play many fun sports, like basketball, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, and tennis. Both men and women have teams to play and cheer for.

The Greyhounds play in NCAA Division I and are part of the Patriot League. This means they compete with other very good teams from all over.

One special tradition is their fight song called "Howl for the Hounds." Fans and players sing this song to show their excitement during games. It was written by two people in 2003 and has been loved ever since.

Loyola’s teams have fun stories too. The men’s basketball team has played since 1908 and has been in big tournaments. The men’s lacrosse team began in 1938 and has won many games, including a big championship in 2012. The men’s soccer team is also very strong and has been in national tournaments many times.

Everyone at Loyola loves to support their Greyhounds!
