Marine ecosystems are the big, blue homes of many plants and animals. They live in water with lots of salt, covering most of our planet. These special places hold almost all the water on Earth!

Some famous parts of marine ecosystems are coral reefs, mangroves, and seagrass meadows. Coral reefs are like colorful underwater cities full of sea creatures. Mangroves are special trees that grow near the coast in muddy, salty soil. Seagrass meadows are underwater grass fields that give homes to many sea animals.

Marine ecosystems give us many important things. They provide food, like fish we eat. They also help us by giving jobs to people who work near the ocean. Plus, we can have fun swimming and playing at the beach!

Scientists work hard to learn about these amazing places. They study tiny animals in the water and watch how clear the water is. This helps them know if the ocean is healthy. Everyone needs to help keep marine ecosystems safe and happy for all the plants and animals that live there.
