Molière

Molière was a famous French writer, actor, and poet. He lived a long time ago, from 1622 to 1673. People all around the world love his funny plays, which are still performed today in many places, like the Comédie-Française.

Molière started his life in Paris, the capital of France. He loved acting and writing from a young age. He traveled with a group of actors, learning and creating funny stories along the way. Later, he returned to Paris and became very well-known for his clever and humorous plays.

Some of his most famous plays are The School for Husbands and The School for Wives. These stories made people laugh while also showing them interesting things about human behavior. Molière’s plays have been translated into many languages, so people everywhere can enjoy them.

Molière’s work has left a big mark on French language and culture. Even today, some words in French come from his plays. For example, the word “tartuffe” describes someone who pretends to be very good but is not sincere at all. Molière’s funny and wise stories continue to be loved by people of all ages.
