Moscow is the big, busy capital city of Russia. It is one of the largest cities in the whole world, with over 13 million people living there! The city sits along the Moskva River in Central Russia. Moscow is full of green parks and beautiful places to see.

Famous Places

Moscow is home to many famous spots. One of the most popular is Red Square. This big open area is where people gather for celebrations and events. Near Red Square, you can visit Saint Basil's Cathedral. This cathedral has colorful onion-shaped domes that look like they are from a fairy tale. Another important place is the Moscow Kremlin, a grand fortress that has towers and walls.

Getting Around

Moscow has a very busy and helpful transportation system. The Moscow Metro is a subway system with many stations. It is one of the deepest and most beautiful metro systems in the world, with colorful murals and shiny lights at many stations. People also use buses, trams, and taxis to get around the city. There are even special electric buses that help keep the air clean.

Fun Things to Do

Moscow has many fun things to do! You can visit the Moscow Zoo, where you can see animals from all over the world. Gorky Park is a huge park where you can play, ride bikes, or just relax. The city also has many museums, like the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, where you can see beautiful paintings and sculptures.
