Nobel Peace Prize
The Nobel Peace Prize is a special award given each year to people who help make the world a more peaceful place. It was created by a kind man named Alfred Nobel from Sweden. He wanted to honor those who work to bring countries together and help everyone live in harmony.
The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize is chosen by a group of five people from the Norwegian Parliament. They look at many nominations and pick the person who has done the most to support peace. The award ceremony happens every year on December 10 in Oslo City Hall in Norway. The winner gets a special medal, a diploma, and some money.
Many important people have won the Nobel Peace Prize. Some have worked to help people in need, while others have worked to stop wars and help countries talk and solve problems peacefully. The prize is given to individuals or groups who show great courage and kindness in trying to make the world better for everyone.
Alfred Nobel also created four other Nobel Prizes for science, literature, and medicine. But the Peace Prize is special because it focuses on helping people get along. It is one of the most respected awards in the whole world.
