Northern Arizona University, often called NAU, is a big school for learning in Flagstaff, Arizona. It is in the beautiful Arizona mountains and has four seasons. NAU started in 1899 to help train teachers.
Today, NAU has many places for students to learn. Some study in Flagstaff, while others join from far away. The school has special programs for different kinds of science, like stars and plants. Students can even help look for faraway worlds, such as a possible Planet Nine.
NAU is also known for its sports teams, called the Lumberjacks. They play many games and have won big prizes in running. Because the school is high up, it is a great place for athletes to train. Students can join over 400 groups to make friends and have fun. They can watch movies, play sports, or even make their own news shows.
NAU wants to help everyone feel welcome, especially people from many different places. The school has a special center for Native American students and many programs to support them. NAU is a friendly place where students can learn, grow, and enjoy life.
