Olympic Village
Adapted from Wikipedia · Explorer experience
The Olympic Village is a special home for athletes during the Olympic Games. It is built or changed for the Games in or near the host city. Athletes, coaches, and officials stay there for about two weeks while they compete.
The Olympic Village is usually close to the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic Park. After the Games, the village often becomes a new neighborhood where local people can live.
The first official Olympic Village was made for the 1932 Summer Games in Los Angeles. It had rooms for athletes, places to eat, and even a train to help them get around. Today, every Summer Games has an Olympic Village, and they keep getting better and safer for everyone.
