One World Trade Center

One World Trade Center is a very tall building in New York City. It is the tallest building in the United States. People also call it the Freedom Tower. It stands in a place called Lower Manhattan.

The building is very special because it is very tall—1,776 feet! That number marks the year the United States Declaration of Independence was signed. It has 94 floors, but the top floor is numbered 104. Inside, there are offices and a special place called a sky lobby on the 64th floor. There is also an observation deck on the 100th floor where you can see all of New York City.

Many people work in One World Trade Center. A big company called Condé Nast Publications has offices there. Other companies also have spaces to work. There is even a special area called the “China Center” to help connect people from China and the United States.

The building was built to remember those who were lost and to create a new, strong place for work and memory. It opened to the public in 2014 and has become an important part of New York City.
