Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso was a famous artist who lived a long life. He was born on 25 October 1881 in Málaga, a beautiful city in Spain. From a very young age, Pablo loved to draw. His father, José Ruiz y Blasco, taught him the first steps of making art.
Picasso moved to France where he created many wonderful paintings and sculptures. He loved trying new ways to paint and is known for helping start the Cubist movement. This was a special way of showing objects from many angles at once in art.
One of his most famous paintings is called Les Demoiselles d'Avignon. Pablo also made a big painting named Guernica that shows sad feelings. Even though he lived through difficult times, his art always showed his bright imagination.
Picasso passed away on 8 April 1973 in Mougins, France. Today, people all over the world love and study his art. Museums in many places keep his paintings, and they remind us of his creative spirit.
