Panther Chameleon

The panther chameleon is a beautiful and special kind of chameleon that lives in Madagascar. This island is in the ocean near Africa. Panther chameleons make their home in the green, leafy tropical forest biome. Their bright colors help them hide among the leaves and flowers.

These chameleons are loved by many people. You can see them in zoos and sometimes as pets. They are calm and enjoy resting in the sun to warm up. Their colors change depending on where they are from. Some are blue, and others are red, green, or orange!

Panther chameleons have special feet that help them hold onto branches. They also have long tongues that they shoot out to catch tiny bugs to eat. These chameleons like to be alone most of the time, except when they want to have babies.

People first learned about panther chameleons a long time ago. A smart scientist named Georges Cuvier from France wrote about them in 1829. Even today, scientists study these wonderful creatures to learn more about their lives and colors.
