Paraguay River
The Paraguay River is a big, important river in South America. It flows through Brazil and Paraguay. The river helps make the borders between Paraguay-Argentina, Brazil-Bolivia, and Brazil-Paraguay.
The river is very long, about 2,621 kilometres or 1,629 miles. It starts in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso and ends where it meets the Paraná River near the cities of Corrientes and Resistencia.
Many people and animals need the Paraguay River. It gives them water to drink and helps with farming. The river also lets people travel and visit towns and cities. Some families live near the river and depend on it for their daily life. The river is also a nice place for tourists to explore and enjoy.
The Paraguay River flows through the Pantanal wetlands, the world's largest tropical wetland. This area is full of amazing animals and plants. The river gives the Pantanal its water and helps keep this special place alive. People have talked about changing the river in the past, but they want to make sure they protect the Pantanal and its wildlife.
