Welcome to Quetta!

Quetta is a special city in Pakistan. It is the biggest city in a place called Balochistan. Imagine a valley surrounded by tall mountains—that is where Quetta sits! It is very high up, about as tall as many big buildings stacked together.

A Fruitful City

Quetta is famous for its fruits. People call it the “Fruit Garden of Pakistan.” You can find many kinds of fresh and dried fruits here. The weather changes a lot, with warm summers and cool winters.

A Crossroads for Travel

Quetta is an important spot for travel. It is close to an old path called the Bolan Pass, which connects Central Asia to South Asia. This makes Quetta a busy place where people from different places meet.

A Special Name

The name Quetta comes from a word that means “fortress.” Long ago, it was a safe place for people to live. Today, Quetta is a lively city where many different kinds of people live together.
