The Rochester Metropolitan Area

The Rochester metropolitan area is a big group of counties in Western New York. It is centered around the city of Rochester, New York. Many of these counties have farms and small villages.

About 1 million people live in this area. Rochester is the main city, bringing together towns and villages around it.

Counties and Communities

The Rochester metropolitan area includes several counties: Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, and Wayne. There are also smaller towns and villages like Brighton, Chili, Gates, Henrietta, Perinton, Penfield, and Webster.

Some other places in the area are Arcadia, Canandaigua, Farmington, Geneva, and Victor.
