Sacramento Public Library

The Sacramento Public Library is a special place in Sacramento, California where people can go to read books, watch movies, and learn new things. It has many branches, so everyone can find a library close to them.
People have used the Sacramento Public Library since 1857. It started with a small group of books and grew into a big library for everyone. In 1918, a new building was built with help from a kind group called the Carnegie Corporation.
Today, the library has 28 branches. Some of these are the Arcade Library, Arden-Dimick Library, Carmichael Library, the Central Library, Colonial Heights Library, Belle Cooledge Library, Elk Grove Library, and more. The library also has fun tools and even lends out items like pots and sewing machines.
