Santa Ana is a lively city in Orange County, California. It is part of the bigger area around Los Angeles. Many people live here, and it is a special place for business and culture.

A Little History

Santa Ana began in 1810 when a leader from Spain gave land to a man named José Antonio Yorba. Later, another man named William H. Spurgeon started the city in 1869. Today, many families speak Spanish at home, making Latino culture very important here.

Santa Ana has many interesting spots! You can visit the Bowers Museum to see beautiful art from all over the world. There are also colorful wall paintings called murals that tell stories about the city’s history and cultures.

Not far away, you can find fun places like Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. After a day of fun, you can relax at sandy beaches such as Huntington Beach or Newport Beach.

Santa Ana has many schools where children can learn and grow. Most of the city is part of the Santa Ana Unified School District. There are also colleges like Santa Ana College where older students can study.

Getting Around

The city has many roads and freeways to help people travel. The Santa Ana Freeway goes north to Los Angeles and south to San Diego. There are also buses and train services to make it easy to get around.
