A Cool Trip to the Snow

Saudi Arabia sent its very first team to the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, from February 4 to February 20, 2022. This was a big and exciting moment for the country!

The team had just one member, a male skier named Fayik Abdi. He carried Saudi Arabia’s flag during the opening ceremony, which was a special and proud moment.

One Brave Skier

Saudi Arabia joined the fun in a sport called alpine skiing. Fayik Abdi was the only athlete, but he did his best and enjoyed sliding down the snowy slopes. It was a wonderful start for winter sports in Saudi Arabia!
