The Sea of Crete is a beautiful part of the Aegean Sea. It is right next to the big island of Crete. This sea is very special because it has many small islands all around it.

To the north of the Sea of Crete are the islands called the Cyclades. To the east are the Dodecanese islands, like Rhodes. On the other side of Crete is the Libyan Sea. All these places make the Sea of Crete a fun spot to explore.

Many boats and ferries travel through this sea. They help people go from places like Piraeus to Heraklion. The sea has some very deep parts, too! Some spots go down almost 3,293 meters, which is very deep.

There are also lovely bays around the Sea of Crete. One is called Souda Bay, and another is Mirabello Bay. These bays are great for boats and make the sea look very pretty.
