A sensor is a clever little device that can notice changes around it and tell us about them. Think of it like a tiny helper that can see, hear, or feel things we might miss.

Sensors are used in many everyday things. For example, when you touch the button to call an elevator, a special sensor feels your touch. Some lamps also have sensors that let you change how bright they are just by touching their base.

Sensors can detect many different things, like light, movement, or even certain chemicals. They can be very small, made with special technology that fits them on a microscopic scale. These tiny sensors can work very fast and very accurately.

Because of new technology, sensors can now do more than ever before. They help cars, airplanes, robots, and even medical tools work better. Sensors help us measure things quickly and tell us important information about our world.
