Simon
Simon is a fun electronic game that helps test your memory. It has colorful buttons that light up and make tones. Players need to watch the lights and then press the buttons in the same order. As you get better, the sequences become longer and more challenging!
Simon was invented in the 1970s by Ralph H. Baer and Howard J. Morrison. They worked for a toy design company called Marvin Glass and Associates. The game was first shown in New York City and quickly became very popular. People of all ages still enjoy playing Simon today.
Over the years, many new versions of Simon have been created. Some versions have extra buttons, while others are smaller or have different shapes. Each new version makes the game more exciting and challenging in new ways. Simon is remembered as a classic game from the 1970s and 1980s.
Because Simon became so popular, many other companies made similar games. These games copy Simon’s idea of remembering sequences of lights and tones. Some of these fun games include Touch Me by Atari and Copy Cat by Tiger Electronics. Simon continues to be a beloved game that many people enjoy.
