Sister Cities

A sister city is a friendly link between two cities in different countries. These cities learn about each other’s cultures and may work together on projects.

People have made these friendly links for many years. The idea became popular during a difficult time when countries did not get along well. It helped people stay connected.

Cities choose sister cities for many reasons. They might share the same name, similar sizes, or common interests. Some cities become sisters to help each other understand better.

For example, some cities have special events to celebrate their friendship. They might exchange students or share ideas about taking care of the environment.

Sister cities can be found all around the world. They help build friendships and understand different places better.

If you visit a city, you might see signs showing its sister cities. These links make the world feel smaller and friendlier.
