Skyr is a yummy and creamy food from Iceland. It is made from special milk and has a thick, smooth texture. People in Iceland have enjoyed skyr for many years as part of their everyday meals.

Skyr tastes a little sour but also a bit sweet. It is often served cold, and sometimes people add cream or flavors like vanilla, coffee, or fruit to make it even tastier.

The word skyr comes from an old word that means “to cut.” This is because when skyr is made, the milk is separated into a thin liquid called whey and the thick skyr.

Today, skyr is made in many places around the world. It is a great snack because it has lots of protein and very little fat. People enjoy eating it with bread, in drinks, or even with flatbread.
