Southern Germany

Southern Germany is a lovely part of Germany. It includes places where people speak special dialects called Upper German. This area covers parts of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, and also touches Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.

Munich is the biggest city in Southern Germany. It has over one and a half million people. The area is known for its beautiful hills and mountains, including parts of the Alps. Southern Germany is also famous for its tasty foods, like beer, wine, and yummy sausages.

Many people from Southern Germany moved to places like the United States a long time ago. Today, Southern Germany is very important for jobs and travel. Two big airports, Frankfurt Airport and Munich Airport, help many visitors come and go.

The land in Southern Germany is very pretty, with rolling hills and forests. People here enjoy their traditions, foods, and the beautiful nature around them.
