Suisun Bay is a calm, shallow water area in Northern California. It is part of the big San Francisco Bay. The Sacramento River and San Joaquin River flow into Suisun Bay. This makes it a special place where rivers and bay meet.

The bay is between Contra Costa County and Solano County. To the west, Suisun Bay connects to San Pablo Bay through the Carquinez Strait. Long ago, people from the Patwin tribe lived near this area. They called themselves the Suisunes.

Suisun Bay was also a resting place for many old ships after World War II. These ships were kept safe until they were needed again. One famous ship was the USNS Glomar Explorer. Today, most of these ships have gone away, but Suisun Bay is still a quiet, beautiful spot.
