Swahili

Swahili is a beautiful language spoken by many people. It is mainly used in Tanzania, Kenya, and Mozambique. People speak it at home and in schools.

Swahili has many words from Arabic. Traders from Arabia brought these words when they visited the East African coast. It also has words from Portuguese, English, and German. Because of this, Swahili is a special mix of many languages.

In 2022, the United Nations chose July 7 as Swahili Language Day. This helps people celebrate and learn this important language. Many schools in East Africa teach Swahili to help everyone communicate better.

Swahili is a Bantu language, which means it comes from a group of languages spoken in Africa. It started along the East African coast and grew over time. Today, about 60 million to 150 million people use Swahili, either as their first language or as a second language. It is an official language in several countries, helping to bring people together.

Swahili is used in many places, from everyday conversations to important meetings. It is a language of friendship, trade, and culture, making the East African region a vibrant place to live and visit.
