Tyre, Lebanon

Tyre is a very old city in Lebanon. It is one of the oldest cities in the whole world that people still live in today. Tyre is a special place because it has many ancient buildings and stories.

The city is next to the Mediterranean Sea. It is about 80 kilometers south of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Tyre is the fifth biggest city in Lebanon. Many different kinds of people live there, making it a colorful place.

People have lived in Tyre since very old times. It was an important city for the Phoenician people, who were great sailors and traders. Today, Tyre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which means it has special historic buildings and places.

Tyre has warm, sunny summers and cooler winters. The sea around Tyre is warm and beautiful. The city has sandy beaches and a special nature reserve where birds and sea turtles live. Even though Tyre has faced many changes, it still keeps its old history alive.

People in Tyre enjoy music, art, and sports. The city has old cinemas and theaters where people can watch shows. Children go to schools, and there are universities where young people study. Tyre is a place where the past and present come together in a wonderful way.
