The University of L'Aquila

The University of L'Aquila is a school where people go to learn and discover new things. It is in the city of L'Aquila in Central Italy. Many students come here to study many different subjects.

The university began a long time ago, in the late 1500s, when the Jesuits helped bring learning to the city. It became an official university in 1964. Even when some buildings were hurt by an earthquake in 2009, the university kept working to make new spaces for everyone.

Students at the University of L'Aquila can join seven different departments to study things like engineering, life sciences, and computer science. There are also fun places to visit, like the Alpine Botanical Garden of Campo Imperatore and the Orto Botanico dell'Università dell'Aquila, where they can see amazing plants. The university also has a Sport Center where students can play football, rugby, tennis, and many other activities.
