The Wasatch Range

The Wasatch Range is a beautiful line of mountains in the western United States. It stretches about 160 miles from the border of Utah and Idaho down to central Utah. These mountains are part of the bigger Rocky Mountains and sit right next to the Great Basin area.

Many people live near the Wasatch Range, especially around the Wasatch Front. Big cities like Salt Lake City sit between the mountains and the Great Salt Lake. The highest point in these mountains is Mount Nebo, which stands very tall at 11,928 feet. Other famous peaks include Mount Timpanogos, Lone Peak, the Twin Peaks, and Mount Olympus.

The Wasatch Range is a wonderful place for outdoor fun. People love to go skiing in places like Sundance and Powder Mountain. The mountains also have many trails for hiking and places to fish in clear streams and lakes. With its tall peaks, snowy winters, and beautiful valleys, the Wasatch Range is a special part of nature that many enjoy visiting and exploring.
