Western Culture
Western culture is a special mix of ideas, stories, and ways of living that started in Europe and around the Mediterranean Sea. It began a long time ago in ancient Greece and ancient Rome. People there thought up many things we still use today.
One big part of Western culture came from Christianity. This helped shape how people in Europe thought and lived. Over time, these ideas spread to many places in the world.
Western culture has given us many wonderful things. We have beautiful music like symphonies and operas from great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ludwig van Beethoven. We also enjoy fun sports like the Olympic Games, football, and tennis.
Artists in Western culture made amazing paintings and buildings. Leonardo da Vinci painted the famous Mona Lisa, and architects built tall, beautiful structures. These creations show how creative and smart people in Western culture can be.
Today, Western culture keeps changing and mixing with other cultures. Because the world is more connected now, we see new ideas and traditions coming together. Western culture is a big part of our world, and it will keep growing and changing in the future.
