Welcome to Windsor

Windsor is a lovely historic town in Berkshire, England. It is best known for Windsor Castle, one of the official homes of the British monarch. The town sits close to the River Thames and is just across from the town of Eton.

People have lived in Windsor for a very long time. The town grew around Windsor Castle, which was built a long time ago. Today, Windsor is a busy place with many things to see and do. Visitors love to tour the grand castle and walk along the river.

Near Windsor, you can find the fun Legoland Windsor Resort, the only Legoland park in the United Kingdom. It is a wonderful place for families with lots of rides and play areas. Windsor also has nice shops, cafes, and two train stations that make it easy to visit.

The town has many green spaces and parks. You can take boat trips on the River Thames or walk over the old Windsor Bridge, which is now just for pedestrians and cyclists. Windsor is a special place with a rich history and lots of fun for everyone!
